Eighteen attendees discussed the 2022 debut novel by author Nita Prose, entitled The Maid. On October 27th, at our final meeting for 2022, the members of Just Desserts will be discussing the life and works of legendary British mystery writer P.D. James at the downtown library. We hope to see you there! (See the handout, listing all of P.D. James’ novels and story collections!)
At the August 2022 Just Desserts meeting, 19 group members participated in our discussion of both Camino Island and Camino Winds by John Grisham.
Following the “assigned reading” portion of the meeting, we held our monthly round robin in which all 19 attendees were able to share recommendations of what other books they’ve been reading recently, with an emphasis on mysteries/suspense/thrillers. And one absent member shared her recent recommended read by e-mail as well.

On August 25th, the members of Just Desserts will be discussing two of John Grisham’s thrillers, Camino Island and Camino Winds, at the downtown library. Participants can read either one or both of these novels before the discussion. We hope to see some of you then!
