The Just Desserts mystery fiction discussion group held its July 2022 meeting in person, this past Thursday evening. Fifteen attendees discussed the 2021 stand-alone historical noir suspense novel Velvet Was the Night by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. If you have read Velvet Was the Night, and would like to contribute your comments about it, please do so as a reply comment to this blog post, below.

On August 25th, the members of Just Desserts will be discussing two of John Grisham’s thrillers, Camino Island and Camino Winds, at the downtown library. Participants can read either one or both of these novels before the discussion. We hope to see some of you then!
